AS220 Print Lottery

This September, AS220 will showcase the prints and works on paper of 200 artists from around the world in an exhibition at the non-profit’s Main Gallery and Performance Space, 115 Empire Street. Members of the public can purchase a $100 ticket, guaranteed to win a print at the culminating event on September 29, 2012. In the interest of fun, each artwork is won by way of a blind lottery.

In addition to the goal of raising $25,000 to support the operation of the AS220 Communit
y Printshop, the event offers an exciting survey of contemporary works and introduces newcomers to the art of printmaking. The Lottery will foster awareness of, and involvement in, the AS220 Printshop which provides affordable, intimate classes and free public workshops to a broad community, and access to an incredible array of professional equipment and facilities for Shop members to pursue their art.

Three Miraculous Days of Ladyfest September 21-23

GET INTO IT PEOPLE. Jesus Krust, the magic just does not stop in du Bucket. September 21-23 Machines With Magnets is being overtaken by sixty hundred rippingly meffed up bands, all of whom associate or ally themselves with ladies or ladydom, counterbalanced by kewl workshops and know-how seshes to boot. For a full moment to moment schedule, get thee to the internet, but trust me, there's no fluff in this marshmellow. I think you're picking up what I'm putting down. Perhaps I could interest you in...

See grown men act like babies, American women act like German men from 1979, and you acting like a genius under duress and it’s so beautiful and tragic. Don’t bring anything but yourself.

Foo Fest call for Volunteers

On Saturday, August 11th, AS220 will host Foo Fest 2012. The 12 hour Fest features 20 musical performances on two stages (indoor and outdoor), interactive art installations, homemade games, dancing and local eats.

In order to pull this off, we need volunteers throughout the day! This is a great opportunity to experience first hand what makes Foo Fest a success year after year and helps to raise a significant amount of money to support AS220's programming.

Volunteer shifts are available from 9am-3am.

Every aspect of Foo Fest needs volunteers: set-up, entry/exit, info booth, runners, clean-up, etc. We are also in need of people who are capable of leading several volunteers for a few hours and volunteers with TIPS or EMT certification.

You will be rewarded with free admission and a drink ticket!

Please contact volunteer@as220.org for more information.
