I heard this On Point today and thought it was pretty entertaining. It is focusing on the "Made In America" tag over the past 40 years and what it has meant. it also touches on Clothing, Toys, Musical Instuments, etc and their manufacture.

WHAT!? Earth is (I guess) not playing tonight

What is going on? Why does it seem like Providence can't support the touring bands? I am in packed shows all the time...I don't see why it is so hard to get a good turnout/guarantee for the acts. Rock Band 2, Downtown on the BIG SCREEN

PLAY ROCK BAND 2 OUTSIDE!

Indieartsri is projecting the new ROCK BAND 2 downtown starting at sundown this Friday night. It is happening at Grant's Block. There is a give-away for the new game too. Check it out for a while or just pass through on your way to the other cool things going on on Friday. Food, Drinks, Games.

Come and join us this Friday evening from 5pm - 11pm.

Djs Ted James & Tim O'Keefe of Cozy Music will be djing from 5pm until dark (7-ish). Once the Sun goes down, it is time to play the new Rock Band 2 game on the big outdoor movie screen at Grant's Block.

There will also be a raffle to win your very own Rock Band 2 game bundle!

Food & Drink will be available for purchase from Tazza Caffe.

Grant's Block is located at 250 Westminster Street, next to Tazza Caffe in downtown Providence.

OH! I almost forgot. My new game came out last weekend...ROCK BAND 2! Remember that there is a boat load of Providence peoples that helped make this game so go check it out. Guitar, Bass, Drums and Vocals. The 360 software came out this past weekend as did the new drumset and guitar. Check It.





Oh...and I am putting this up too because it is too awesome. Some folks found our old drums too loud for their apartments, etc (which is now fixed on version 2) and some people came up with really funny "fixes". This is my fave:

Lots of stuff going on tonight it seems. There is the Black Velvet art show in the Bucket complete with metal bands like the Body. There is also a cool Armageddon shop show and the Ho Down. I don't care where you go...but go to one of 'em!

Arab On Radar

There is an Arab On Radar documentary DVD coming out this month and a release party is slated for the 26th of September. The release party will feature Daughters, White Mice, Tinsel Teeth and DJ Dan St Jacques!

I have not seen the docu yet, but having had the pleasure of touring a bit with AOR back in the day (when I was in Laurels) and seeing these guys all the way back when Umbrella existed and AOR was future-tense...I am psyched to check it out. Here is a little preview-o-rama:
