LOTSOFNOISE benefit this Saturday!

As you may already know, I am having a LOTSOFNOISE benefit on 2-26 at Machines With Magnets to raise funds to make a major upgrade to the site. My goal is to hire a programmer/developer to do some serious integration of social networking, allow for ease of use for users, create a better calendar and build ways for LON to email/text/etc people when shit is going down that they want to see/hear.

I could really use your help. I am having a raffle at the show and could use some prizes. If you are interested in donating Records, CDs, Posters/Prints, Shirts, etc I would be so thankful. The only other benefit that I ever did was about 5 years ago and the raffle went over really well.

If you would like to donate, please drop donations at Armageddon Providence. They are kind enough to be letting me use the shop as a hub for local folks.

If you know anyone that might be interested in helping in this way, please forward this along.

Oh... and COME TO THE SHOW!

DOMINGO GIGANTE

In a long awaited excuse to grace Providence with another "I'll top my own Evil best" Lee Buford poster, Machines With Magnets is blowing it up this Sunday with a Best Friends From Near and Far original dude-stravaganza. Git it in for The Body kind-of tour kickoff, second debut of still pretty new Deleted Arrows line-up, I-still-haven't-seen-these-guys-but-thanks-Rich-for-making-my-band-look-awesome Mouth of Flowers, "Worcester Knows How To Party" bros Mountain Man, "In it for life" Soul Control, and the source of all things melodious/dark and immersive/corn-syrup fueled in MWM studios for the past week, Braveyoung. These dudes have been in The Bucket working on a Body collab, and we can't say enough good things about them. Technical proficiency! Hardcore ideals! Southern charm! Sorry ladies- they're taken! Real Live Early o'clock. No more bitching about how it's too cold to get out there. See you in hell!

This Week: Death Angel, Monotonix

In my snow shoveling haze, I missed Blood Sacrifice...which pisses me off. Some rock is still to be had this week though. Friday night at Club Hell are old school Bay Area thrashers DEATH ANGEL.

Death Angel - Lazarus A.D. - Bonded by Blood - Violent History - Gut Bucket - Razormaze

Sunday night at Machines With Magnets is Tel Aviv's insane rockers Monotonix. Word on the street (Schneidlomat) is that this is their last tour. Monotonix and Megasus will both have their new records. See it.

Monotonix - Megasus - Pujol

PENTAGRAM TONIGHT!

Generally, characterizing an evening as "ultimate doom" doesn't bode well for the experience looming nigh. Not so for tonight's happs at the site of Rhode Island's most illustrious fetish nights circa the late 90's/early 2000s. Drag the shadows of your earthly shells down to Richmond street early for this one:

No Wave Lives! Monday at AS220

This Monday at As220!

UT: Once in a lifetime no-wave

Neptune
: Hand-forged noise metal, back like the reaper

Whore Paint
: Fallen women slashing your face

Alright, kids. This is your chance to get aurally disemboweled courtesy of a horrifying assault of deconstructed riffs, real live punk (not post), scrap metal shivs, and the misdirected anger of a bunch of anti-patriarchists. This one's gonna start early- real live 9, over at midnight. Get there or get suckered.

I'LL SHOW YOU HALLOWEEN

The time is nigh, people. We're at T minus a disgusting horror-show of Providence's most eligible disasters ripping your face off in a frenzy of crucial jams, high fives, and gore make-up. Meet me in the bucket.

LOVE THY NEIGHBOR

Oh, did someone say free pizza from Nice Slice, a horizonless vista of metal insanity, and a floor to ceiling kaleidoscopic melange of my favorite six thousand tattoo artists? Not bad... not bad at all. This show is viewable for one day only, people. Come mingle amongst Providence's saltiest bears drinking high-end gallery wine. I know- psychedelic.
